what a break!

ok, so it has been a while, yes. A lot has been going on. i have completed 1 semester teaching high school. we are moved into our house in virginia and we are having the time of our life. i will post videos of the following events: christmas, the move out, our farewell bbq and one of the videos from our honeymoon over a year ago.

boys night out

a few weeks ago i organized a small boys night out to help a friend cope with having his wife away for 2 weeks. i figured that nothing takes a guy's mind off hardship and heartache like racing cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles combined with dance offs, dinosaur killing and gambling. so we went to the nickelcade. here is a video showing some of the games we played. special thanks to the boys: tyler, nathan, milk, and carl.

senior class trip

the end of the school year can mean only one thing for seniors at mountain view high school. the annual senior class lagoon trip. spirits were high, bus-screaming voices were turned up to record volumes and staggering numbers of high fives were given. a memorable trip indeed. special thanks to mr fieldsted (pictured behind me on the bus) for not only letting me go to lagoon, but spending all semester trying to get me to be a decent teacher.

double whammy

SO to make up for the long break a second video. i have many more in making including our honeymoon, trip to DC and the most recent trip to lagoon with the senior class of mountain view high school. today's second video is of easter. to celebrate the Lord's resurrection we spent the afternoon at my aunt glenna's house. it is tradition at aunt glenna's house to have an easter egg hunt with eggs full of change that will then be gambled away. the hunt itself is extremely fun and extremely competitive. it never grows old even though we do.

marriage

it has been a long while since i have posted. but oh, what a fantastic time it has been. i have married the love of my life and have never been happier. it is a joy to spend every day with my best friend and to have such a wonderful companion with whom to spend the rest of my existence. our wedding took place the day after christmas and was perfect. at the reception i performed a couple of songs for my wife including an original piece that you will hear as the background. it can be a little rough at some parts, but give me a break. it was an emotional day.

trip to arizona

sorry its been so long. the truth is that i have had this video in the works for some time, but something kept messing up. well, its still not 100% perfect, but it is close enough.

amelia and i went on a trip to arizona to visit my extended family. on the way we stopped in las vegas and saw the hoover dam. it was great. there is nothing i love more than to go on trips with amelia. i am so excited to always have such a perfect roadtripping companion.

while in arizona, my grandma threw a little party so that everyone could meet amelia. we also decided to take a trip to tombstone, which was probably the coolest thing i have ever done in arizona.

port townsend

FINALLY...part three of our trip back to washington. a lot has changed since then. this footage is already over a month old! we are both back in school, amelia got her cosmetology lisence and we are now engaged. this video shows us in my favorite washington city; port townsend. we went to the game farm and fed some bears, deer, and buffalo. then we wandered around downtown, then toured the old bunkers. we even stopped for ice cream served by the most cantankerous woman i think i have ever met. please excuse the footage. i dropped the camera alot. if you have any complaints, i suggest YOU try feeding bread to a buffalo that is bigger than your car. or be headbutted by a llama.
